The cafeteria was huge with a coffee maker, a little store where you can buy stuff and a fridge to put your lunch in. They will override this many times to prevent you from getting in trouble with HR. If you went slow or did not work for a long period for example like 30 minutes then managers will come looking for you. At first this made you want to quit but after a while you got the hang of it and understood how to go fast and how long you can go being idle. We did get micromanaged by our scanners so managers knew when you were going slow, fast or was being idle for a long time. The manager was chill enough played music on the speaker for everyone to hear while they are working. Before entering the freezer you had to wear protective gear otherwise you would get frostbite. You only had to be inside the freezer for 2 hours a day but the chiller and ambient had no time limit. The only thing I didn't like about this job was working inside the chiller and freezer which was stressful at times. The fulfillment center was huge with so much space. Two of them were young adults so you can connect with them if you were a young college student. The managers there which was 3 one at inbound, outbound, and one sitting near the scanners were pretty much nice and supportive. There was three different temperature zones you had to work in which included freezer, chiller, and ambient. I really enjoyed working here and would had stayed here for a long time until I graduated college but sadly got fired for clocking to early to work. Very cliche-y (if im using that word right) Mostly young discontent 20's year olds working here. They can literally postpone you becoming a full fledged employee based on 'business needs' so you could very easily be a temp FOREVER if they feel.ĭid I mention 85% of the people here want to leave forever and never return? if that speaks for the work culture. They give PTO and VTO VERY SLOWLY so if something happens unexpectedly and you need more time than accrued prepare to lose your job! Management can disappear for HOURS during the day, but if you spent 15m or more in the bathroom, prepare to be taken aside.īreaks are 15 minutes, half of which your expected to use walking back and to your station. be prepared to call ERC for anything more than correcting your time, which is essentially a customer service line to India. Forced to do the worst job in the building (they try anyways) that other favored employees dont have to do. Was disrespected by management figures by day two all the way till month eight.
